New upcoming hypes and I felt that I was obliged to see them.
At least I have to know how the storyline goes, no?

Yesterday I start with watching VP because I was not feeling good.
A headache for more than 5 hours straight was bugging me that evening.
It was impossible to work on my planned cosplay.
Instead I laid down on our huge sofa (less headache!) and watched the first 6 episodes of VP.

The storyline is quite good and my favorite person is Zero.
It seems that whenever I have a favorite anime/manga/game character, they always have the same haircut.
Tamahome (Fushigi Yuugi), Yukito Tsukishiro (Card Captors Sakura), Hwoarang (some Tekken series) and now Zero (VP).
Kind of awkward if you think about it… *feels nerdie*

Yesterday I finally received my 2nd gun that Lara uses in the game.
I already have boots that look really like hers (need to make some slightly changes) but this cosplay is finally getting somewhere!
Hanami and I going to cosplay her as a duo.
she will do the short pants version, I am going to do the long pants version.
I’m looking forward to it! =)

As mentioned a while ago on the Flemish forum, I booked my hotel already for Epitanime.
The tickets are also ordered (2 days + 2 nights): that means Nocturne here I come!
I always wanted to see the Nocturne cosplay!
It’s very unique and it must be great! ^_^

For the first time I am going to Germany for cosplay.
Germany is a wonderful country, I like it a lot! =)
We used to go on holiday there.
The convention that I will be attending is Hanami.
I will see if I can take photos so that I can inform the Belgian people how it was. ^_^

When you notice that it is quiet on this site (blog) than you can be certain that I am working on a new cosplay. Like the period before MiA.

For the moment I started on a new cosplay because I realized that Japanimation day at BIFFF and Animansion are very close.
If everything goes well, we should do a big group as Animansion.
Nevertheless I need to finish 2 costumes for Animansion!! ^_^”

Because I was too late with Seong Mina, it encouraged me to get my future costumes and acts done asap!
That way == less stress, more time, more enjoying of my cosplay.

For a first convention it was not that bad.
Here are my report about the MiA:

Pos:
- ticket salve via Fnac stores
- separate cosplay stage
- the opportunity to go and discover the other palaces (creativa etc)
- clean (+free) toilets
- kawaii attitude place at MiA
- Kana and Gléant place in Belgium!
- free Dokus gadgets
- Bollywood

Con:
- VIP ticket was a ripoff: you did not have a separate + better place at the cosplay competition
- expensive food and we all ate something bad on Saturday…
- not very “Asian” as expected
- the presentation in Dutch was a little sad (knowing it is a nice lady) maybe she has a little stage fright?
- definitly a French convention, I do not mind but Belgium has official 3 languages (Flemish + French are MOST used)
- 2x 4 euro for a parking place => why not a combi-ticket for 2 days?
- the cosplay stage room did not have much lights => quite dark photos or films

Personal con:
- sometimes I did not understand completely the choice of the Jury, but then again everyone has a right to have their OWN opinion.
- had some issues with my Seong Mina cosplay
- realizing that my French is not soo good… but practicing it is already one good thing
- next time I really want to do the Bollywood lesson (I was too late)

Personal pos:
- got some movies of the group acts!!
- I finally saw every act very good (mostly I see them from behind the curtains)
- get to know new people (Kawaii Attitude etc)
- saw again some people back
- some people that keep rambling about the nipple accident: if you have a costume like that, take your precautions and know that you can have something like that. Do not complain afterwards!
(I even changed my Seong Mina a little bit, it could have been more naked – no offense to the girl tough) :p
- Jarl’s Marilyn Monroe competition cosplay ruled!

Since last weekend a lot of things happened.
I realized that there is a certain someone who’s acting strange a couple of times towards me.
Honestly I do not know the reason why but I have seen enough to know that it is for real.
I never do something wrong, I always try to say hello to everyone, so what’s up with that?
It is not that I am saying things behind his/her back or that I am being unfriendly towards his/her.
If there is something bothering the person that (s)he saids it straight to my face instead of acting weird.
Frankly I’m old to get into the “cosplay drama” so I leave it for what it is…

It is so unbelievable what people write/say to get the person or persons to like them more.
Actually what they are doing is sucking up to someone and god what do you reach with that?
I’m getting a little agitated if I see that people are doing things like that.
Honestly what they use to suck up is not “that amazing” or “that wonderful”.
I thought “it” or “those things” were going to be better…
That is my opinion.

If someone did something good towards the general crowd, like finding a cure for a disease or something, if you thén give compliments that I can understand.
But I would never suck up because you are afraid the that someone would not like you or that you are not going to get that something arranged.

Cosplay drama: it seems to evolve more and more.
Like the fight that I heard about.
First of all you do not provoke a fight.
That is a no-go.
Secondly, if you have some arguments: talk it over instead of fighting. What do you eventually solve with fighting? It makes it even worse.
Thirdly, don’t do the talking (in this case the fighting) in public. Keep it only between the parties that are involved.
And lastly I give my respect to the parties that are involved had to endure seeing the fight. They kept themselves strong in a difficult situation.

Like it or not, but I do have a feeling that there is more drama to come…
I am just wondering if the “sucking up” will also evolve…
