a small update on the calender: GB and NL conventions are added.

Of course it is possible that some will be missing, that I must say that this list is already not that bad.

The cosplay compo: I liked the idea “be your character” .
It is a chance for other people to prove their skills.

Only the questions of the jury were not so great and even I had the feeling that they did not know what to ask. -_-”
I did not have the opportunity to see the acts therefore I cannot tell if they were good or not.

Eventually I was third! Not so bad after all. *^_^*

The crowd was not too crowed which I liked and no paparazzi stuff.
People asked each time if they could take a picture.

Pro
- location (not too far for the Belgian people and the train station was very near)
- parking for cars, at some conventions there isn’t any space at all.
- food and drink prices were okay
- organization was all right; clear and informational website; and a quick response to your questions.
- not too crowded as in France or at FACTS. So the location was fine for me.

Con
- Cosplay organization and the entrance was not so fluently at first sight, and I had the impression that there was a slight delay.
- few dealers
- a long queue for the lady toilets
- a map of the event might have come in handy as I had hard time to find the cosplay responsible at first.

Aside of that I am glad I had a chance to meet many people again!!! We had a chance (most of the time) to chat, and meet some new people. ^_^

It also was my first “Dutch” Convention.
It was nice and cosy like Jarl and Lisu said.
It certainly wasn’t a disappointment.

Making a huge pencil + ordered a tambourine for Sumomo.
P.S.: It will be Sumomo time @ Tsunacon! ^_^

New dates are added to the calender!

Currently it is WIP time!

- doing research + ordering material
- making parts for an old costume (extension)
- making parts for a 2009 cosplay

Aside that I am looking forward to the first con this year (Tsunacon) I keep being more excited for Paris Manga.

Tsunacon is my first convention in the NL.
Quite curious how that will turn out…

Paris Manga on the other hand is an assurance, in the sense that it has great values and aspects.
Although that I was too late for the registration to participate the Cosplay competition, I still want to go.
Buy new French manga’s, see wonderful costumes and meet new people.

Regarding the competition, it is sad that no places were left!
Even people on the forum mentioned that they never had 1 convention in FR where the subscriptions where that easily filled.
Only in 2 days all the places were gone…
Little sad for me as I already had ordered Thalys (special international train) tickets.
A bummer but maybe if I am extremely lucky, I still will be able to participate.
I am on the back-up list, in case some people were too late or did not show up.

We will see, right?
Anyway I’m going in cosplay even if I do not have the privilege to show my costume on stage.

It has been a little quiet on the blog part due to the Holidays and my newest console: XBOX 360 Elite.

I’m soo proud to finally have the XBOX and some games from my list!

I start to play a delightful game (Eternal Sonata) and I was immediately hooked!

The graphics, the characters, the story are great and the details are amazing.
The battle system is quite neat and the music fits perfectly this game!
This game has so much life to it!
You can clearly see that the creators loved making this game.

My mom even said that it looked like a fairy tale!

Honestly I do not have any negative comments except that their explanation can be a little long sometimes.

My favorite person is without any doubt Frédéric François Chopin.

Hopefully the game will not end too quickly because I still want to enjoy this game…

Because of the recent gaming habit, I kind of lost sight of my repairements/updates from my old cosplays…
Also this website has been a little neglected…

But on the other side, I have not completely forgotten Cosplay!
Today I was in Antwerp and we bought new fabrics for 3 costumes this year!
It was more expensive than our other fabrics but the quality of those fabrics are amazing!

Let’s just say that I was “glad” that it were parts of 3 costumes, otherwise there would have been a big whole in my wallet…
